Absolutely stunning combination in this lustrous women's vintage Lepp & Company coat. Made from curly lamb fur in an ultra shimmery warm bronze. Adorned with plush fox fur collar and oversized cuffs in spotted ivory and shades of cognac brown. I would date this coat as being made in the 1950's or 1960's. In excellent condition and superb quality. Shows no signs of age, brittleness or shedding. Warm, stylish and cozy. Noticeable stitching at the waist for cinched, tailored look. Fully lined in a lustrous dark ash brown sateen polyester blend with the most luscious velvet one-inch strip trim stretching above the hem. Large 3/4 inch ash brown shimmery magnifying glass style buttons down the front with gold tone frame. Removable faux leather rope belt in a similar ash brown runs through the belt loops and ties at the front. You also have two hidden lined slit pockets, one on each side for keeping your hands cozy. Lots of life left in this beauty.
Brand: Lepp & Company of Kenosha WI They designed and sold fashion and genuine fur coats from the early 1900's in a boutique style space until they were unable to compete with large chain department stores. This coat is a time capsule and an ode to the times of slow and meticulous craftsmanship in fashion. Lepp & Company shut its doors in 1992 after 90 years in operation.
